  13. Hello All - I have a SCSI hardware related question.  I picked up a Maxtor
  14. RXT-800HS optical drive and a couple 800 meg cartridges.  (Dirt cheap, but
  15. then again - I might have a doorstop )

  17. Anyway - before I start playing with it, I have a couple questions.

  19. In reference to the optical cartridges, if I get this thing running on my
  20. A3000, are they only capable of being written to one time?  If so, that makes
  21. them almost useless once they have been used.  (As far as I can tell, the two
  22. cartridges I have are unused)

  24. My other question is in reference to the drive itself.  Does anyone have any
  25. info on the jumpers for setting the SCSI address?  There is a row of jumpers
  26. labelled 1 - 10 that are located below the 50 pin ribbon connector.

  28. If anyone has any info/experience with optical drives I would be grateful for
  29. any information.
