- From the computer of Kenny Hydock:
-
- Hello All - I have a SCSI hardware related question. I picked up a Maxtor
- RXT-800HS optical drive and a couple 800 meg cartridges. (Dirt cheap, but
- then again - I might have a doorstop )
-
- Anyway - before I start playing with it, I have a couple questions.
-
- In reference to the optical cartridges, if I get this thing running on my
- A3000, are they only capable of being written to one time? If so, that makes
- them almost useless once they have been used. (As far as I can tell, the two
- cartridges I have are unused)
-
- My other question is in reference to the drive itself. Does anyone have any
- info on the jumpers for setting the SCSI address? There is a row of jumpers
- labelled 1 - 10 that are located below the 50 pin ribbon connector.
-
- If anyone has any info/experience with optical drives I would be grateful for
- any information.
-
- Thanks in advance for the info.
-
- Regards - Kenny
